Mark, for what it is worth, I never gave any supplements of any kind. I transitioned to a high quality puppy food and poured it on! I think we did ok.

I would not increase the amount you're feeding, nor would I put the female on puppy food, until later in the pregnancy. You should not be able to see an increase in weight after only 4 or 5 days, they usually don't show until halfway through, and even then, you can't always tell. For this reason I get mine ultrasounded at 30 days and then adjust the feed according to what my vet thinks. I don't feed puppy food, just a good quality adult food that is about the same ratio of protein/fat as puppy food and increase it a little the last 3 weeks and then of course after she whelps you usually have to triple or quadruple the amount you are feeding.

Mark good luck with you liter. Should be nice liter. In the past any liter we had we just put mom on pro plan puppy and nothing added. We are thinking of breeding Amber but not sure, Anyone want a wild child.
I can see the heckling I was about to get about dates from the North Alabama Crew. I ran her in their test March 9th. Still can't believe my P.M. box isn't full. Pups should be due April 12th which is my birthday.

I don't supplement mom at all, just a good quality food. When I fed pro plan, I switched to performance when they came in season and fed that through weaning (weaning puppies to pp puppy). I now feed royal canin and switch to their breeding formula when the bitch comes in (ht42d). At 6wks in whelp, I switch mom to their starter formula and that's what I wean puppies on to. They then go home on labrador retriever puppy.

I am feeding Pro Plan Performance 30/20 and am now adding in some Pro Plan Puppy. About 1/4 puppy food now. Was going to gradually increase the puppy food.
