    Default First Flush

Out for a quick walk with pup after work yesterday. We get down near the river and to my right I see two birds on the grown. Either fighting or mating...couldn't tell Pup sees the birds and locks on..I give the "get'em" and she drives hard with a great flush......made me smile!
Either we broke up a pretty good scrap, or we have two pissed off birds who were in the mood lol

Shouldn't it be your dogs name you call instead of "get'em"? Helps for honoring.

to send for a retreive yes, but in this case I was encouraging her to "hunt 'em up" in an upland scenario.

Understood. Always nice to see your pup on the hunt. It is fun to see them lock in and go. Im sure you were pumped.

Nothing better than a good nose full to get grousie! I wish I could spend more time getting on live grouse flushes but I will wait till this fall in the U.P. Looks like you are in prime Pat country across the pond.
