    Hopefully, we will stay out of it.
    It's time we abandon our party affiliations and rather than being good Dems or good Repubs we all become good Americans. MJH345

    They would have had to be producing chemical weapons in order to send it to Syria. We found no evidence that they were currently producing chemical weapons.

    On the 10 year anniversary, former Bush spechwriter David Frum said this in an interview;

    I was less impressed by Chalabi than were some others in the Bush administration. However, since one of those “others” was Vice President Cheney, it didn’t matter what I thought. In 2002, Chalabi joined the annual summer retreat of the American Enterprise Institute near Vail, Colorado. He and Cheney spent long hours together, contemplating the possibilities of a Western-oriented Iraq: an additional source of oil, an alternative to U.S. dependency on an unstable-looking Saudi Arabia.

    Former Bush speechwriter David Frum, author of the infamous "Axis of Evil" claim in Bush's 2002 State of the Union address, has a Newsweek column this morning announcing that "all of us who advocated for the [Iraq] war have had to do some reckoning". His column is an attempt to provide such a reckoning, and contains numerous revealing assertions.

    Franco, pretty much the entire Bush administration, including Bush himself, have admitted there were no WMD's.
    This fact still doesn't register with many of the sheeple in the echo chamber. They prefer to keep their heads firmly buried in the sand and regurgitate the lies they were fed by their "Fair & Balanced" sources; even after the these admissions. AMAZING!!!!

    Seems Hagel has admitted that chemical weapons were used by Assad. Obama had said that use of chemical weapons by Assad would be a game changer. So what happens now?

    To me the Syrian situation seems a no-win. If US supports the rebels it quite possibly ends up as another Egypt or Libya, with a strongly Islamist govt. If we stay out of the mess, there is criticism for that.

    Overall, my thoughts come down to letting these fellas work out their own mess. Maybe just help Jordan and/or other neighbors with food and medical support for the refugees that are flowing into those countries. Let the adversarial forces in Syria take responsibility for their own actions, and leave it at that.
