To me the Syrian situation seems a no-win. If US supports the rebels it quite possibly ends up as another Egypt or Libya, with a strongly Islamist govt. If we stay out of the mess, there is criticism for that.

Overall, my thoughts come down to letting these fellas work out their own mess. Maybe just help Jordan and/or other neighbors with food and medical support for the refugees that are flowing into those countries. Let the adversarial forces in Syria take responsibility for their own actions, and leave it at that.
There is some speculation that any chemical weapons that might have been used, were by the rebels on their own people in hopes of bring the USA into the mess.

No matter what Assad does or doesn't do, the USA is better served by not getting involved!

So, maybe the president should have kept his mouth shut? Obama is the one that said Chemical weapons represent a "red Line" that can't be crossed. Now that they have crossed it... it just shows him for the weak, do nothing Commander in Cheif that our enemies know him to be. Thats why no one is afraid of us anymore. We have a leader who is all talk and no action... even punks from other countries can attack us and barely be called a terrorist.

thats the problem when you play high stakes "brinksmanship"....its like when you get your raise called in poker, sooner or later you have to show your cards or fold

So do I Bill, but bleating and warbling count for little. Give us your candidate for 2016, Hating what is, will not change what may be.
