I'll not argue with your posts. Including the slightly anachronistic TJ quote. You have the right to post your views, even if there are some that I disagree with. I do wonder though, if posting your views on the internet, on a BB called Potus Place...might be failing to play your hand close to your chest? Perhaps though, you don't care, and you are all hat and no cattle...no problem...

I wish you good luck, training, and hunting, and fixing dog's people problems. JDogger

PS hot on the left, cold on the right, and the other only runs downhill. Plumb regards, but here on PP it usually rides to the top.

Sorry Bon, your thread went so GDG...
Politics may be a predilection but entitlements are a drug. You know hot is on left and cold on right too? You must have had a non unnion plumber.

True. I have always solved my own plumbing problems.

Since you answered my post twice now, I'll give you my opinion. Entitlements can run the full range from social programs to subsidies for private industries. Given a list of such, I am sure we would find areas of disagreement.

Without getting into such a list, I'm sure that both you and I have been the recipient of 'entitlements'of one sort or another, as have most of us.

Now, in answer to your post # 35 to which you did not expect an answer. I'll answer it by line.

"I really didn't expect an answer. Why not? what has concerned me is the predeliction of liberals to define strong dissagreement with the policies of the current administration as hatred for the president. I have always been curious as to whether liberals actually believe what they are saying but are just trying to change the subject from policy to fictitious hatred. Those who do not agree with you or other conservatives are not trying to change the subject, and the hatred is not fictitious. I'll not drag up old posts or images with the President with a bone in his nose.

It might surprise you that I have far more respect for Bernie Sanders that Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, Obama, ect. He at least states honestly his socialist position and makes no apology for it. From those according to ability, to those according to need. That is his belief. I strongly dissaggree, but I can respect him for his honesty.
I have little respect for those that you list, indeed little respect for most of congress and Obama. It might suprise you that I am not a democrat, but I am probably most surely what you would call a liberal because I reject to policies that you would advance as conservative.

As to my example, the addict is the American people, the drug is entitlements, and the drug pusher is the government. When the drug brings the American people to their knees and they swear off the drug, then maybe the bottom will have been reached, then recovery can begin. I still reject your analogy. To be sure liberals look at entitlements as a right not a drug. That is the dissagreement, not hatred. "

Good Hunting, Training and HTing or Trialing, JD

PS To many, 'liberal' is not a dirty word, neither is 'conservative'. Just two sides to the same coin.
Distinctions that we are lead to believe make us feel that we are not 'owned'.....

Interesting discussion Sat. night with youngest son. I was a child during part of FDR's reign. My Dad was very upset with some of FDR's ideas etc. The youngest son said to me during the talk Sat. night, "well, you know there were people beginning to riot in the streets when he was president". I didn't remember that nor have I read it. I guess what started the discussion was that I told the family I had orderd a couple of books on FDR for my sister's birthday gift. She is 3 plus years older than me and I think she will find those very interesting. Hope they are well written as I have not read either of them ( one is on how he prolonged the great depression.

I once read somewhere that the opposite of love is not hate; it is apathy. Also once read that in order to truly "hate", there must be something in the "hateful" person that you admire or envy.

I would have several reasons to dislike this POTUS. I have really found nothing to admire. His campaign rhetoric was just puffery. Maybe there is a way to have the Utopian dreams he described, but it appears from his track record, that he did not then, nor has now, any clue how to make those dreams a sustainable reality. Perhaps there is someone who does have a plan that might work, but it sure isn't him, nor the Congress presently sitting (with a small few exceptions).

I believe he truly lied about the Benghazi affair, and did so brazenly in the Presidential debate when he called it "offensive" to suggest that anyone in his administration would not act to save those victims. He did so without blinking an eye, when he knew the whole truth. Hillary gave voice to what likely his also his own positon ... "So what? Doesn't make any difference now." That would seem, to me, to apply to both the deaths and the lies told.

I did respond, several times. Read the thread again.
