Just finished redoing my Gunners up. No issues. I will offer that mine were about 8 years old and the instructions on line wanted me to soder and heat shrink the connection. My winger had connectors, so I left the old male/female plugs on the servo side and added new plugs to the new wire and repluged. Much cleaner than their instructions. Only tools required for me were sockets, open end, soder gun, screw driver, and a sharp knife. You'll have no problems, just take a look at what you've got once you're inside the winger. That will show you quickly what you will need to redo everything.

Use the old existing wire, to pull the new wire through.

Don't pull the old wire out first, and then try shoving the new wire through.

My old wire was broken off at the male plug and it sliped down the leg of the winger. You can feed the new wire through with any medium gauge wire attached w/ electrical tape then gently pull it down the winger leg. If your old wire is there, for sure use it the same way.
