    Default Puppy Feeding Question

I have a CLM puppy who is on pro plan large breed puppy food right now. He's currently getting fed 3 cups a day, 1 in the morning, lunch, and evening. He weighs about 30-35 lbs. he seems a little hungry at times though, the vet says he's healthy as can be. Am I just over concerned? How much do y'all feed for a puppy?

It's a lab, they'll eat rocks if you put them in their bowl at feeding time.

By 4 mos, most of my pups are on 2c am 2c pm of Euk LB pup. Would think the same for the food you are feeding. They are always hungry but I think 3c seems short for someone that age.....

Yeah I think he needs more. Will throw an extra cup in there and see how he does.

Better to have a pup just a little skinny rather than fat or plump IMO. THere's a lot of studies out there that show feeding less decreases chances of things like hip dyplaysia etc. I obviously haven't seen the dog but just be careful that you're not feeding too much. I would also increase by half a cup at a time as well instead of a whole cup time. If the body condition still isn't right, up it another half cup.

Looks like you're right in the ballpark according to that chart. I've been feeding my pup Dr. Tim's Kinesis and it recommends much less than some other foods. My BLF is a week shy of 4 months and she's getting 1 cup at 6 am and 1 cup at 6 pm. Yes she acts hungry sometimes but how many pups don't? She's nice and trim and full of energy. If I feed more than that she tends to have loose stools so I'm sticking with what's working. She's also quite a bit smaller than your CLM, though... She's only about 23 or 24 pounds right now.
