If you decide to go the Furminator route, try Amazon .I ordered the giant (5") brush for $40 from them. My local farm store wants $40 for the 2" brush and $65 for the 3"!.

I train my labs with the vacumn cleaner hose with my hand partially cupped over the end. It takes a bit of getting used to for the dog, but when they do get used to it you can't turn it on without them bum rushing you
