Default New Zeeland - need help.

    Hi,

My sister and her husband are looking for a quality Labrador, they live in the Country of New Zeeland.

I've done some looking online and am trying to advise her, everything I find is heavy Show Dog with large boned and big headed show type stock that looks even more extreme than here in the US.

Any leads to a field bred style dog or even a solid pet quality dog?

    Thanks

There are a few folks who post on here from Australia who have imported Labs from the US. May be able to get a puppy from Australia sent to NZ.
"Darla" AFC Candlewoods Lil Smokin Tequila (2002-2013)(fondly remembered)
"Smoke" Smokin Auggies Menace, QAA (2003- )(retired nut case, ask Rando)
"Simba" Humewood Simba (1999-2014)(my 1st dog)

    .
Per favore, non mi rompere i coglioni.
    Grazie

Thats a tough one. You might try Blind Faith Retrievers for his contacts He's sending Captain Morgan frozen over to Australia. Morgan a nice American lab.

Peter, aka Stoney, on here is in Australia as is Aussie. They would probably be the best bet.
you also may do better searching for dogs in New ZeAland rather than New Zeeland as you spelled it in both your title and post.

My experience is limited to one trip with Judy Aycock when she held seminars in Australia and NZ.

Exporting costs to NZ from AUS is in the region of $1,800. Pup needs to be 12 weeks of age.

I could find gunclubs for you and other contacts in NZ...Email if needed.
Field trial labradors, the wind beneath my wings,

    sometimes poop under my boots.

Try emailing my friend Theresa Borrell who lives and competes in NZ She had chesapeakes but can put you in touch with the lab breeders there. Her email is chesapeake@farmside.co.nz

The heavy boned show dogs make GREAT pets! That is what they are best at!!
