Rushcreek ther is West Central Ohio HRC. They have about 40 members and have a Spring Hunt Test April 20 and 21st near Indian Lake. Stop by and ask for me and accept our invitation to our Saturday night banquet. Am also a member of Ohio River HRC. Ohio Rivers hunt test is May 4 & 5 near East Fork Lake. We will extend you the same invitation. Hope to see and meet you.

I'm about 45 minutes SE of Columbus. This is my first pup - a 16 week old black lab. I'm new to the site as well and see that I need to find a few more threads to respond to before I can PM.

Yea I figured with a name like Rush Creek you were to the SE of Columbus. I usuallly make it over there a few times each year to hunt. Another member of OVRC hunts there alot in the late season. He is from Zanesville also. My email is joe@teamtakeem.com if you would like to contact me.

Rushcreek - definitely shoot Joe a note. He can get you hooked in. We have folks in your immediate area and many in Columbus as well as Zanesville and Coshocton. The club has a good mix of hunters within the testing aspect.

Everybody is training all the time in addition to club training days. If you want to participate, contribute, and gain rewards...you'll find it time very well spent. We also have several pups and young dog members right now as Greta said. Programs and DVD's are great for learning the ropes and understanding training to some degree but hands-on work with others and training in groups is the best way to have a really nice dog.

You will also get sound input on what training material would suit you best and give you more information on training up.

West Central Ohio HRC member here. We are 48 miles SW of Columbus. Great club and great people to hang out and train with.
