Default Guess I can't keep my Insurance

SO we just got a mailing from our insurance company stay tuned we will help you navigate the changes??? WHY??? I want what I have. I will be off the wall furious if I have to pay more for anything I do not want. DH and I are self employed and have high deductables but hold a dedicated account to cover our out of pocket costs. I guess BUMFACE will force me to pay more for something I don;t use. I hope that slimeball rots in hell. I like my insurance and want to keep it but he is screwing me royally.

We're both self employed and probably have similar coverage to yours....high deductible, no bells and whistles and our premiums have increased exponentially since Obamacare. Nothing new here except the size/speed of the price increases. Your coverage is probably costing more for less as well. Probably the only thing changing is now if you decide to drop your coverage you'll pay a penalty tax. So one way to look at it is another new tax. Obamacare is driving up insurance costs so much and so fast fewer can afford it and will have to pay the penalty for not having it. In essence, another tax on the backs of the working middle class who can least afford to subsidize the ever multiplying masses of the SFN crowd.

And the really stupid thing is that we can drop coverage and under the new laws pick it up if anything major happens since ;pre existing is no longer an issue. DH and I both have our CPA's and while dropping coverage goes against everything for us we have run the numbers and it is the best cost option.
NO idea what we will end up doing but as a CPA I think I;m going with what i would legally be adviced to tell my clients. I guess I will play the game just handed to me.
