    Ouch! That's hurtful. But I must tell you that this Golden bitch is now 12 and still waterfowl hunts the St. Lawrence River right up until the end of the season. All of my hunting buddies own labs and they'll tell you none of their dogs have the desire to retrieve or internal fortitude this girl has. Personally I have had a handful of well-bred field Goldens and I have yet to have any one of them refuse a retrieve or breakdown because of cold or inclimate weather. I can go on, but I think you get my point.
