    Default chocolate labs coat color?

Hey everybody! Just had a question. My young chocolate labs coat goes from a fuzzier light brown during the winter then into a super dark coarse brown during the summer. Is this normal? Also he's an outside dog, and its very hard to brush our the winter coat.
    thanks!

Its normal for his winter coat to be hard to brush out to. My dog takes forever to shed all of her winter coat,I can only imagine how hard it would be to shed a coat for a dog that stays outside in MN!

I just paid $40 for the same one ,which was a deal ,but now it is on sale for under $20. I've always used the long hair.

If the link doesnt work ,go to amazon and search "giant furminator".

I am going to buy one of those furminators today. His coat is so thick after a pretty cold winter lol. I just don't like how goofy he looks while shedding, looks almost mangy because of the drastic color change.
