I'm still home, 1.5 hours away and just got a call that 20 dogs in the Open are doing a HUGE water blind - the implication for Derby (using the same judges) is that it is taking a long time.
At 8:30 a.m. Sat, no one knows if Derby will even start today. With only 17 dogs entered
Open won by Tammy Zahornacky with her Golden, Lacy! The last series was a huge test with tons of cover in the water and a thirty yard breaking flyer. Two broke. Sargenti second with Lilly, Patopea third with Kimber, and Sargenti fourth with Flint. RJ was Pirate and no jams.
Amateur won by Julie Cole with her Chesapeake, Ruddy Duck! Missy Bell second with Blue. Gary Zellner third with Kimber, and Randy Twist fourth with Lucky. Tammy received the RJ with Lacy.
Congratulations to the ladies with the "other breeds"!
WooHoo! Great Grannie (and G.G. Grannie) is proud! Lacy's been knocking at the door and I'm glad to hear she was able to trot right through it and win a big one!
Ya done good, ladies,
SuzanneB
