I was in your shoes about a year ago. I researched and narrowed down to a few different programs. “Lardy, Hillman, Fowel Dawgs, Dokken, SmartWorks,” I chose SmartWorks. I have been pleased with the decision, as mentioned above Evan is on RTF all the time helping with questions. All the programs have the same goal just slightly different methods to achieve that goal. The biggest thing is try your best to find someone to train with………….. That will be worth more than every DVD on Gun Dog Supply.com!!!!

I followed hillman's program with great results and I am now on to Lardy's program. This is my first dog.

I used Smartworks with "blinddogmaddie". With the book and videos, it was fairly easy to follow, but I also asked for help with experienced trainers. I now follow the Lardy program, which after following Smartworks, it made Lardy's easier to understand. Whatever you use, make sure it is a solid program and follow it step by step and do not be in a rush. I still have Smartworks, as it is nice to go back and review. You may find things that are clarified better and maybe shows more if I have a question about something. Both are very good programs.
