I have been feeding Diamond Naturals for several years. Probably not a popular choice with this forum, but my two dogs do well on it. Good coats, energy, etc. Another plus is $30 bag.

    Tdog,

If I had to economize on dog food Diamond Naturals is one of the best values in terms of nutrition for the dollar IMHO.

After some of the issues Diamond Naturals has had and possibly losing a dog because of it, I won't use any food made by them.
I do like PMI, and the Infinia brands made by them are great.

    Bud,

All dog food recalls are not created equally. The recall of pet foods made with contaminated rice gluten meal from China several years ago did cost some dogs lives. As far as I know, the more recent Diamond recall for Salmonella didn't make a single dog sick. In fact, they condenmed all the products (of many companies) that were under roof at the time they detected salmonella in a sample in the plant (and its a huge roof). However, as far as I remember they weren't able to detect contamination in any products, just an ingredient sample. The concern was more likely for the health of humans who came in contact with Salmonella, and as far as I know there were no issues there either.

I'm not pardoning Diamond. Just pointing out that not every recall is worthy of hysteria.
