    Default Ten inches of snow

is expected tonight. Trying to get some water work in before the first hunt test May 4th and that may not happen. Ponds are still iced over. Spring better come soon or cabin fever will claim a few lives.

What a pain this weather has been. We are expecting snow tomorrow with 27 degree temperatures...their goes my apples for this year! I have a new pup scheduled to go for training on the 29th....she is not as far a long as I would like.....guess you cannot fight mother nature!

Your not kidding - the weather has been a pain. Freezing cold Saturday when I was out. Sunday group training better but no serious water work!!

One of the guys in our group had his male breaking across the thin ice and it ripped his unit up. Six stitches. The dogs down south will be swimming ahead of the dogs up north.

I feel your pain living in Northern Alberta, Grande Prairie to be exact, we still have lots of ice, June should be swimming weather.

My pond is full and running over with all the run off! No ice but won't put my dogs in it either. Geese are sitting in the field like they are nesting!

Gary, Glad to hear your pond runith over. At 7 months old I have to be careful not to put her in ice cold water. Not sure if it would make her have a fear or not but I can wait I guess. A few warm sunny days should bring the pond temps up. Do the geese wake you up in the early morning?
