If he is a citizen, he should have all of the protections of the Constitution afforded to any other citizen. Doing anything less jeopardizes the rights and freedoms of every citizen. As much as I would like to see him water boarded, I would rather seem him given due process under the law.

The dead suspect was not awarded citizenship because of inquiry from the FBI. He was the one that traveled back to his home country. From what I understand, the suspect in custody is a citizen and didn't travel back with his brother.

I think he should be mirandized so that any information gotten from him can be used against him.

And why couldn't the FBI recognize him from the photos?

Why did they need the public help to identify someone that they had investigated as a potential terrorist and lived a few miles away?

Because the agency's are run by academians that are inept on the streets.

Problem is, his rights include silence. If he lawyer's up we may not get anything more than we know already. Enemy combatant is offered another set of rules.

The government lies about most things. Just watch some video 's of your executive, legislative or judicial branches double talk and believe their own booshwa. How do we know this kid isn't getting screwed or is a patsey. every US citizen is awarded a right to trial . They can be knocking at your door next and accusing you of something absurd,,,should we all scream "hang the basturd' because the media or government officials pronounced you guilty.

10 years ago I would have said hang the basturd or may be even 5,, Now ,,, all I know is we have one of the most corrupt ,,subversive governments in modern times.

The show I watched aired after the death of the older brother and the capture of the younger. They were discussing this very topic. I assumed from media reports that they both had traveled back to their native country. I don't know which way he will be charged but it seems there is a vehicle to charge someone as an enemy combatant even if you are an American citizen. I still think he is a terrorist and I hope that is how he is treated.

Really Stan? Tell that to kid who was held in a hole in the ground down south and was rescued by those inept agents on the street. Then ask his family what they think of them.

The people on the street, who are putting themselves at risk for folks like you and I , deserve better than comments like that.
