By the time ducks get close enough to pick out my clear Gonia- they got other more pressing problems.

    Thanks for all the replies,
I think the Dallahasse HT'er is the winner.

I think I have chirped in as many Teal and woodies with my
Acme Thunderer as I have mallards with my RNT.
And I can call my dog with it so it's a twofer in the gearbag.
the Blue wings in Texas during the Sept season are just plain dumb, all they need is water and maybe a handful of decoys, I have a Haydel BWT call but rarely use it..I actually limited out one day while standing in the water in hip boots with two decoys in the water and a floating bag behind me..the GWT during the regular season seem to decoy well to a susie mallard call and good setup

the Cinnamons in Idaho are all about being on the X

Many times I just use whatever duck whistle is on that lanyard. If the ducks can hear it, thought the dogs could too! Works just fine.

Sometimes you are just on the spot they want to be...I shot 4 greenheads and Pintail in about 5 minutes standing in the wide open in the middle of the South Platte River one time...probably could have swatted most of them with the gun barrel

Fox 40's "over 120db" Sonik Blast is the loudest small whistle I've tried and what I've been using the past year or two. Compact and easy to use quietly for common work, but you'll want to use your hands like a megaphone to really jump on it. Fwiw, I've tried it with and without the rubber mouth/tooth guard option and prefer it without.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

(And to see just how confused I really am, join us in my online blind at: Rick's 2012-2013 season log)

Sometimes here and in AR it does. Mostly just when my slobber gets all in there hot or cold. They make a terrible screeeeeching noise then too. You should know this beer guy...
