    Default VA Hospitals & Healthcare

What is your opinion/perception of VA Hospitals and the quality of health care given there?

I have been going to the VA in Syracuse since 2002 and am very happy with it.
I know enough, I just can't think of most of it.

We used the one in Long Beach Calif for my dad, but it was overwhelmed by the amount of people trying to use it...We used Brooks Army hospital in San Antonio at the end, they did their best and treated him with dignity...

I've heard both great things and horror stories.

Dad used the va hospital before his death and always had good things to say about their care and services. As far as my opinion of them I believe any service provided for our veterans is a must and would hope it is a good experience for users.

I think it varies by location and even by the individual caregiver. Good ones and some not so good. Just like any other government run agency.
