    Default Nerve Root Tumor

    Has anyone had experience with a Nerve Root Tumor in their canine? Pls contact me if you have any information, dougtrautman@mindspring.com

    They are locally invasive and do not typically metastasize. They have a high rate of local recurrence. The ultimate cure is wide surgical excision and subsequent radiation therapy to the area to reduce the incidence of reoccurrence.

    I am going to Auburn on Monday to the Oncology Dept, do you know of any place that specializes in this type of Tumor?

    My dog had one removed from his leg 2 yrs ago it has not grown back. It was diagnosed as a nerve sheath tumor, soft tissue sarcoma grade 1.

    I think auburn would have vets with the expertise to take care of this. Sorry you and your dog are going through this.
