Unless you can specify for a specific area or event Red Cross donations go into a general fund so check before you donate, lots of other organizations are involved as well including the Salvation Army and multiple humane organizations for displaced pets and livestock. I would do some online research.

I'm leaving on Friday and headed down for a week to work with the Animal Resource Center and the Orr Family Farm. We've done some fund raising here and are sending monetary donation to ARC and the United Way Of Central OK as they said they will earmark for tornado relief. Still looking for a place to stay down there so if anyone heres of anything please let me know. I always seem to be a minute to late when calling some of the places that are setting up. Have a tent if need be

Thanx for coming. There are hotels in Norman about 5 miles south, or in OKC about 10 miles north........ I know someone who got a room at the Best Western in Moore just a couple days ago, but things may have changed.

The University of Oklahoma is providing dorm rooms for those without homes....... possibly for volunteers also?

A friend traveled North yesterday on IH 35, traffic north of Norman came to a sudden stop, 2 hours to get through Moore, one northbound lane closed with a line of at least 50 dump trucks waiting to haul off debris, said the shocking part was getting to the place that the tornado crossed the interstate and there was literally nothing standing on either side of the freeway.
