    Default Dog lost equilibrium

7 month old lab has eaten/drunk normally today. Seemed to drink more water than normal though the time I saw him drink. He has went to the bathroom POO/PEE. However, he seems dizzy. He is dizzy. If he is standing still, appears ok. But when he steps, something is obviously wrong. He looks like he may fall over. He doesnt appear to have pain. But, when you put a little pressure on his hips in a downward motion or to the side he goes down. It looks like a dog that is getting to hot but he shouldnt have gotten to hot. He has an air conditioner he can get in. Also, I didnt notice any discharge from his ears. I am going to the vet 1st thing in the morning. I have talked to a vet today and she said they would do blood work etc. tomorrow. But, there was no need to bring him in on Sunday unless things turned for the worse. So, Im just looking for suggestions for the time being on what it might be. There is no way he got to something and ate it that he wasnt supposed to. However, there is a chance he might have eaten cow poo and or grass while out to train yesterday. He was fine yesterday. He has had all his shots. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm drunk, and even I know that it ain't right.

What else do you need? Permission?

Did you take his temp? Could be heat induced even tough he has an A/C room to go to. Make sure he has a cool well ventilated area to sleep in, plenty of water and you might check in on him to make sure all is well.

I'd be off to an emergency vet clinic tonight if it were my pup. Doesn't sound good.

Could be inner ear. Could be heat and possibly EIC.

X2 they act really wonky if the inner ear is messed up, and you won't be able to see it from the outside if it's really up in there.

should be a rule against posting these types of questions and not replying when you get back from the vet.
