    Default Who'd a thunk it?

Just saw on Fox news that Ca. has a 4 bil budget surplus and Gov Moonbeam is actually calling for fiscal caution!! Will the sun rise in the west tomorrow?!

Gov Moonbeam. Love the wording. As for Cal. having a surplus. I am pretty sure they let their Berkley math majors figure out the budget. So the numbers are suspect.

It all sounds good from the politico's side - the private sector bailed their overspending azzes out again - but eventually those who work will run out of money .

It's my understanding that at least to some degree, the surplus is due to the one time sell off of assets to avoid increased capitol gains taxes, so that slug of money won't be available in the future.

I wonder if the surplus takes into account any state union worker pension deposits?
