Ah man that was cool! Island hunting in England! But, I do have a couple questions. 1st- What breed of dogs were they? They weren't yellow? 2nd- They did great on them ditch chickens but how do they do on ducks? 3rd- Why was everybody wearing their golf hats? All kidding aside that was a beautiful place, wonderful pups and you should feel blessed to be able to even just see it in person much less hunt it. God Bless and have a great day.

Neat to see how others hunt. Thought it odd they'd find woodcock on treeless ground, but it wasn't the bird I know, either. More like a giant version of our snipe.
If you think I'm wrong, you might be right.

At first I thought it was a yellow lab, but saw the tail and realized it was a Vizsla. I really think I could have enjoyed the hunt.

Can't say as I'd mind an upland hunt less the thorns, chest high grass and rosa multiflora. Giant snipe would be fun too.

Oh thank you for posting that video. As a Vizsla owner some of the footage like the camera from the dog's point of view sent chills up my spine. Sometimes the terrain makes the hunt more than any other factor.

Good to know grouse are as dumb in Scotland as they are in South Dakota and Montana.

They aren't Paul, we just shipped all the dumb ones over there in the early 30's.
