after listening to and educating myself on the subject matter I think I will remain neutral until all the cards are on the table...not ready yo annoint Snowden as a hero as in my previous post, but also not willing to call him a traitor like John Boehner was spewing

What does concern me is that THIS story now dominates the 24/7 news cycle

    WTH happened to Benghazi

WTH happened to the IRS scandal

WTH happened to the AP scandal

Not a gosh dern thing on any of them, ZERO indictments, people were allowed to retire quietly and NO ONE gets held accountable

    I am not happy

    Ooooooo.... Loooooook! Shiny!!!!

    Okay. That's better.

However--Gotta say--Snowden got the news to the American citizenry. Seems to me like he went to the highest authority in our Government. Although this may not be the letter of the law, I'll accept it as the spirit. And many a whistleblower has had ulterior motives, but you can't unblow the whistle, now can you?

It seems the ball is in OUR court as citizens--what are we going to do about it?

Might have been a better movie than I thought at the time. I can't seem to get it off my mind...

It's said that when you can't get a tune out of your head, to go outside and sing it loudly. I don't know if "The Entertainer" as written by S. Joplin, and then arranged by M. Hamlisch for "The Sting" had any lyrics originally but I found these.

"Now the curtain is going up
The entertainer is taking a bow
Does his dance step and sings his song
Even get all the audience to sing along
Yes he knows just what he must do
Knows how to bring down the house when he's through
    Snappy patter and jokes
He knows what pleases the folks
The entertainer the star of the show.

    It was in Vaudeville
And he was on the bill
With all the singers, dancers, acrobats and clowns
There was a dog act there
    Even a dancing bear
And a comedian who never lets you down
    But when he came on
    To sing his favourite song
He really wowed them in the cities and the towns
They came from near and far
    To see the Vaudeville star
    The entertainer."

Give it a try. It couldn't hurt. You could just whistle it to the dogs. They like you anyway. JD

Our daughter thinks it is Wag the Dog.

Heard tonight that Snowden was on the job at the NSA contractor only the past 3 months. The whole thing is starting to sound weird.
