Gerry, the Slick Willie trip to Africa was estimated at $40 million+, between GW and his wife they had already made seven trips to Africa on the tax payers dime, one would have to be pretty foolish to say the Obama trip is a waste of tax payers money and the seven and counting trips that the Bushes are taking are justified. Yes I suppose the Bushs spending a couple hundred million of the tax payers money to finance their vacations would make them heros to the ones benefiting from such waste.

Were the seven Bush trips to Africa during his time in office? If not when in office, what makes you think that the taxpayers are paying for the trips?
Any doctrine that weakens personal responsibility for judgment and for action helps create the attitudes that welcome and support the totalitarian state.

Easy to look up Bill, google "Laura Bush Africa" then pick your source, I would be willing to bet that those trips were not free, but if you want an exact number feel free to pick a source you will believe.
