I just had a litter and my Vet told me not to deworm until 6 weeks old??? I see on here 2,4 and 6. I used Nemex pills cant recal the dose of hand but that is what my vet gave me to use and told me when to use it. Is it really necessary or safe to do it before 6 weeks?

Deworming at 2, 4, 6, weeks should interrupt the 2-4 week prepatent period of roundworms and hookworms. The companion animal parasite council has great resources on parasite control for just about everything... www.capcvet.org

I use pyrantel at 2, 4, 6, weeks and panacur x3d the week they go home. Also deworm the dam at the same time.
