You can't learn to Force Fetch from a video. Period.

That said, the Farmer/Aycock FF video is the best one for those that don't believe what I just said.
Force Fetch is the FOUNDATION of a handling program. It's way more than just a step.

I used SmartWorks on my first pup and had great results. I guess each program had pros & cons.

Well done! You're in good company. Keep up the good work!

OP, I have the SmartFetch DVDs but have not used them on my pup yet, but find them to be very good, IMO. They are very clear and easy to see the progression. I also have the DVD on FF from the "retriever fever" line of videos, but thought it glazed over the process a little to quickly.

The most helpful video I have used of the FF process was one my husband shot of me working with my youngest dog during a "home work" session after a couple of classes with a teacher. When I saw that video, I went and dug out my wallet and turned pup over to the pro for the remainder! Thanks Sharon Potter!

I agree with copterdoc!.... pause.... wait.... OK not struck by lightening
You can learn what it is, you can learn what folks are talking about....
    BUT
a human hand on your shoulder and a dog at your feet is the most bestest way.
And you ain't done learnin' after 1 dog.
Actualy, you ain't never done learnin' unless you live in phase 2

Ken Ken Ken, not drinking enough dark brown nectar lately? Drink in the cool aid, buy a video. Its simple, ships right to your door. Once the dog watches it, everything will be fine.

Please note the fine print about not spilling the cool aid on the seats of the short bus.

I don't think a video will teach me everything, but its a start and if I find my self into deep I will go with a pro. My goal is to do as much as I can and learn on the way
