Can anyone recommend a great Sports Medicine Vet in NC, or the surrounding, area? We went to Dr John Sherman, years ago, and he was wonderful. His passing was a great loss in so many ways.

Thank you for any recommendations.

Try talking with Dr Gary Spodnick at http://www.vshcarolinas.com
He did a lot of the work that ended up with Dr Sherman so may know who who's in rehab around there now.
Some of us have gone with Dr Sherman Cnapp at VOSM in Annapolis Junction MD near Baltimore. His wife runs the rehab side of the house. Mixed review from there though. I had a good surgery/rehab outcome but heard reports others had not.

Write to Dr Aycock (DrEd). He is a past president of the ass'n. There is a vet in that area that does rehab work but I don't recall her name.

Well, the Dr I mentioned is VP of that organization, soooo. He's not that far from NC.

I've been reminded by EdA of a Dr. Maria Glinski in Aiken SC. Her whole practice is rehab. She presented a session at the Auburn Sports Medicine seminar a few years ago and was quite impressive. She had slides and time lapse photos of a dog that had been hit by a car and lost the use of both hind legs. After about 6 months, he was walking again. She was most impressive and the photos of her "shop" were as well.

That's entirely too bad. Her practice was a valuable resource.
