What level do you turn the Dogtra collar up to for your dog? My collar has 1 - 127 levels. I have been using 20 - 40 and the pager. It seems you have to turn it up to 40 the farther out he goes. It is an older collar (8y). I am getting a new Dogtra soon. Just curious as I am seeing that the collar definitely can be your friend (IP) when the dog is way out there doing his own thing. Thanks in advance.

I have the Dogtra Edge(4 dog). I haven't had to turn the stim level up when the distance increases. I do have to make sure I change the level when running each dog. I wish they would make it so you could program a set level for each but and that be the beginning level each time.

I have one that runs around a 17 and one that hovers around a 90...never had to increase the stim level due to distance.

I have an older 1900 that I use to hunt and closer work, it's a little over 4 years old and its distance is gone and has been for a while now. I ran my own test on it and had my wife help me and after about the 100 yard mark it is dead until the setting is on 127 and it is so faint that I can barely feel it in my fingertips needless to say that I did not go out any further but within 100 yards it works fine on all levels.
