    Default puppy colors?

I'm looking at breeding my yellow female that came from a black female and black male that were both yellow factored. The sire I'm looking to use is yellow and came from a black female and black male that were both yellow factored. Will I be getting yellow puppies or yellow and black puppies, any thoughts?

Lol! If he gets chocolates, its only because his girl carries it or he needs to find out who's black dog that carried chocolate (BC) or all carries three colors, jumped the fence! No chance otherwise! If he gets blacks out of this breeding, he should call a geneticist because he will be famous!

Well, Greg, you did ask for "thoughts" and I thought: Chocolate!

The pups will be yellow but beware if the sire and dam both carry genes for chocolate. If so, expect some Dudleys. These are yellow labs that lack pigment in the nose, eye rims etc. and have non-brown eyes:

For example, a dog with genotype Bbyy will be yellow and carry a gene for chocolate coat color. If bred to another chocolate factored yellow, expect some Dudleys.

    The photo is from http://www.woodhavenlabs.com/yellow-pigment.html.

(Edit: You can get a chocolate factored yellow dog (with the genotype Bbyy) from two black parents. For example, the sire could be BbYy, the dam could be BBYy.)
