I have a 2 year old lab who has gone through obedience and basic hunting training. I hunt both upland and waterfowl with him. I am going to be traveling extensively later this summer and was considering sending him to a trainer for a touch-up prior to hunting season. We are located in Milwaukee and a google search turned up tons of results. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your response. A post on this website a few years ago also had Bruce Halverson and Rick Bauer listed. Anybody have any experience working with these guys?</p>
Bruce may be a good fit if he is not full.
The Curtis's may want your dog for an extended period of time, Bruce may also as far as I know.
I also know of a gun dog trainer over in Oconomowoc who may be a good fit.
What I would be asking is how many FT or HT the pro will be running and if he has someone staying back at kennel training dogs that don't compete. I can't speak for anyone but Wayne Curtis he has two assistants so if he's running there is always someone staying back training on Friday and Saturday.
Webshire Kennels in Larsen. Brian and Lisa Hartfield. Great trainers and more importantly great people.
Jeff
