    Default 2 down the shore

I have a vague idea of what this means and I'd like to become more educated about it and how to build up to this set up.

My pup is 95% de-cheated and I have a nice rectangular water body on which to work.

Can someone explain the "2 down the shore" set ups in more detail and give pointers on how to start easy and add building blocks?

My water is a wildlife area but has a nice U shaped end where the bottom of the U is about 50-70 yards wide and the upright sides are long with the shoreline well defined.

    Thanks,
    jen

Just what it says. Make each throw land where the dog must swim past the gun to get the bird. On the long gun the dog will be swimming past the short gun and past the long gun to get to the bird. I am sure someone will post a drawing soon.

Jen, you REALLY need to get Carol Cassity's book, "Building a Retriever, Drills and More". Great diagrams of lots of things like this.

Thanks for the resources guys!!! I'm terrible at doing searches...

Barb, I have Carol's book, but have loaned it to a friend .

Edit: Read the suggested threads and was blown away by the information and discussion - and Jeff's photos! Very helpful, thanks again!!

A huge Thank You! for mentioning this book. I am a visual and hands on learner and this is great for me.
What if all we have today is what we gave thanks for yesterday?
