Default 400 Tons of Radioactive Water Leaking Per Day From Fukushima

    http://www.livescience.com/38844-fuk...ter-leaks.html

Power Plant officials admitted yesterday to the amount of radioactive water still leaking from the damaged Nuke plant is Fukushima Japan.

Though the amount is down, this has been going on for 3 years and nowhere near contained! Add that they still haven't secured the spent rods and they might not be able to.

Obviously they have been unable to fix the problem. Hopefully they will reach out to other country experts to help in fixing it if they haven't already. If they have and it still isn't fixed then ........
What if all we have today is what we gave thanks for yesterday?

There has been a lot of international help. TEPCO, the company in charge of the power plant has been in cover up mode and they just came clean yesterday to the fact that this leak has been happening since the Tsumani!

If they have a lot of international help how were they able to contain this information for so long? It doesn't make sense. When more than 1 person knows it is not a secret anymore. With so many folks dying I don't see how they could keep it so quiet if there were a lot of outside folks on the ground there. Maybe he help was not on the ground there and were advising from afar? I know - more questions than answers.

Because TEPCO is on site, hands on and consulting with Nuclear Experts across the globe. It has come to light because the spent rods are not secured and they aren't certain that they can. In the article, the TEPCO folks had to come clean with the government. That is why yesterday, the government declared a State Of Emergency. I do expect the media to be on this story sometime today. REad the articles.

I read the second one you posted. I will read the others. Still it is hard to fathom a cover up of this magnitude happening for such a long period of time.

Read all the articles. The marine biologists have recorded the problem over the years yet down play the effect 100 miles out to sea. The NRA being new put 'pressure' on TEPCO to come clean. Huh? Why didn't they just expose it for what it was. As an oversight organization, albeit new, one would think they would do that but then again if the gov't is involved anything can happen.

It will be interesting to see if the US news media picks up on this.

Today's Wall St Journal http://blogs.wsj.com/japanrealtime/2...anup-plan/This story is probably being pre-empted by the Ophra Winfrey purse story and the rodeo clown.

And I expect nothing less of the media these days.
