Does anyone know if the Kappes/Curtis video is still available?

The only place I've seen an ad for them was in Field Trial News back in the early 1990's. The ad would at least give you the name of the distributor.

That is one seminar I was at Jim Kappes weak from lung cancer while Bruce and Wayne did the demonstrations. Jacquie Anderson and others worked to duplicate tapes from the original video. Funds went for land for th HCARC, ask Wayne Anerson on this forum I have a set that I have promised to Becky Mills so see talk to her.

Mr. Richard, I vaguely remember someone talking about the tapes being redone to CD. Have you heard anything? Would be great idea for a new Benton Project.

I don't know Greg the might have to find a cheaper group with the equipment, but since I am no longer Treasurer for BRG and those in the know are Snowbirds. I did get a photo from Wayne showing the trees planted alng his drive planted the same day as those at BRG.

Angie wanted to borrow Slobber to spit shine some holes in her truck when she heard of his unusual trait he acquired.

An old friend from Alabama loaned me his set. I have had no luck at all finding them for sale, so I'm digitizing them and will edit and burn them on DVD. This will not be to sell copies. They'll just last longer and store in less space.

Very good Basics on those videos.

Who owns the rights? Perhaps they could be convinced that there is a still a market for these and offer them for sale once again.

I have a set given to me by Terri Veach they are great tapes. Someone should make sure these tapes are kept in circulation. I had the pleasure of training with bruce Curtis when he had our dog Drake. I would consider him one of the best young dog trainers out there. Terri hooked us up with Bruce and he did all of drakes basics. I believe his program will give the dogs all the tools to transition into any program without any holes.

Kappes as a trainer and inspired you. I went out and traind at Reo Raj Kennels about once a week while I had a dog there. Jim's training renewed competative juices for upcoming trials. Whe we were discusing the times to use a vocal no hands back cast and I asked him when he would use the silent no hands back. Then he laughed you just stand.
