Baited 19 lines Friday afternoon and started running them Saturday morning at 8:30. Nothing big or vicious, they were all in the 8' range and relatively tame. The big guy is Preston a Marine who traps his family property east of Lake Charles La. Our only Drama of the day was a bullet that fragged and I had to preform surgery on back at the truck. Guess I can add that to my lengthy resume now, Surgeon of Da Tailgate.
Geez, I've watched so much "Swamp People" that I thought it wasn't possible to shoot a gator without dramatic music, slow motion cameras, and the under water view. Good to see the reality versus the Hollywood version. Good luck the rest of your season.
Thanks, it was officially over yesterday (tagged out). We did throw one on the measuring table that walked to the end and to think he was sleeping in the pile while we motored along.
Yeah nice to see the real thing. Being down south, I hated watching the drama on Swamp people.
