True scenario. Water blind. Let's say blind runs from 6 o'clock to 12 o'clock. Dog goes 5 feet in direction of 3 o'clock. Handler does not blow whistle, but instead says "sit." Casts. Dogs runs to 2 o'clock (still scalloping away from ideal line to the blind). Handler again does not blow whistle. Instead says "sit." This happens two more times. Dog eventually gets on line and completes blind. What - if anything - do you say or do concerning the use of the word "sit" to stop the dog. Handler did not scream. Handler did not yell. Tone of voice was nothing untoward.

Explain your response - if any.

I don’t know why a sit command would be any different than a whistle to stop the dog.

Nothing in the rules requires the handler to use a whistle to stop the dog on a blind but each command so given shall be judged accordingly.
