    Default dog stands

Can anyone recommend a good dog stand? Any why are the so expensive? Everything I'm seeing is 100+ for a simple metal stand?

I ended up going with a banded model stand. I thought about building my own after reading reviews, but decided to take a chance and am happy I did and with my choice.

you could use an armless folding camping chair. I never found any dog stand for under $150.00

Looked at and tried a few home made ones. Go ahead and invest in a factory one. Lighter, last longer, more stable. I've been very happy with all of mine. 3 Avery's and 1 Sportstand.

I have had a Avery Rough stand for years and it has held up great and dogs seem to like it! I would buy a second!

Check out Momarsh Invisilab. Just got mine and like it so far. It can be used as a ground blind, elevated stand in up to 34" of water and a soft kennel. Haven't hunted out of it yet, but done a lot of field and yard work with it and impresssed so far.

I have used most of what is available (but not the MoMarsh), including all the "big names," a couple prototypes that never made it market, as well as climbing stand bottoms, and home made stands. I keep going back to the sportstand over all of them.

Like most of the others , I think the Sportstand is the best.
