Thread: Dog Food Container

    Default Dog Food Container

I would like some suggestions for a good dog food container that would hold 44 LBS+, also something to travel with that would hold 7 days food that would work in the back of a pickup under a cap.

Petsmart has what you need. They have all different sizes. I bought one to hold 50 lbs. of pigeon food. It is water tight as it is kept outside.

    1) Vittles Vault. 2) 3, 5 or 10 gallon Zip Lock bags.

Ditto on the Vittles Vault. Had crawlers move into a new bunch of Pro Plan. No more!

I use the Vittles Vaults---I have one that holds a 40ish lb bad of dog food plus a small one for trips.

Also consider Kylen PFAT bags for road trips (I got mine at Chewy.com). I used one for several road trips last summer, so far so good---no tears, no wet food, no vermin (though vermin here are not plentiful). It packs easier than the Vittles Vault and is easy to tote in and out of a motel.

Dry sacks work well for travel. When I have only one or two dogs I just put the ration in quart baggies. At end of day just dump in and feed.

I have the Avery sport dog dristore vacationer bag. It holds over 40 pounds and works great!
