Default CA gun dog training recommendations

Would anyone here have a recommendation as to who I should go to for basic gun dog training?

Preferably within reasonable distance(2 hour drive; 140 miles) from San Jose, CA.

Looking to send my girl out for 3-4 months. I will continue with the advanced training using fowl dawgs 2 and 3. I feel it is paramount to gettin the basics(force fetch/hold/deliver to hand, heel off leash, steadiness, and honoring; i already have sit and here down pretty solid but it wouldn't hurt to have more exposure ) down solid with a trainer and plenty of exposure to real hunt scenarios and live birds.

Please PM me if you want your recommendation to be private.

Thank you for your time ladies and gents...

Take a look at Blue Collar Retrievers. I know Bill St. Clair. I've trained with him, ran tests with him, judged his dogs and had lots of fun with him in the spare time. Harry http://www.bluecollarretrievers.com/

Thank you both for your recommendation. I met Bill while guiding for a Military Veteran waterfowl hunt at the CWA Denverton property. He seemed very knowledgeable. I will have to give him a call.

Funny, his was the first name that came to mind when I read the post.

Pluis Davern in Gilroy is very good. She has heavy creditials and Dobbs actually designed her technical pond back in the day. You can find her by name or Sundowners kennel.

I've had 2 dogs go thru Silver State Kennel program in Reno. Carolyn experienced in producing execellent results. Her program starts with teaching a great obedience foundation before heading into force fetch and collar conditioning. Website www.silverstatekennel.com additionally they have state of art boarding kennel with heated indoor outdoor runs.
Btw she mentored me to handle my own dog to qualification at 2010 Master National.
