Default Cruz attacks McConnell over Ex-Im as Liar

Wow- Cruz called out Mitch McConnell , Senate Republican Leader ON the Senate floor today as a liar. Using several attack modes , he claimed that McConnell told all 54 Republican Senators and Cruz that he would not bring back the Ex-Im Bank for a re-vote. Using Biblical reference , he said McConnell told him 3X ..NO.

Cruz has called the Bank together w/13 Democrats a form of crony capitalism and unfairness. Unless someone knows him better, Cruz had a steller academic career which included substantial education involvement with the free enterprise system and knowing the various economic authorities of the day. He went to become a lawyer. served in the baby Bush White House, with some economic oversight. However as a Senator, since 2013 he has served on two Senate sub-Committees which deal with aviation and space. I can only surmise that his has obtained his clear knowledge that Boeing is the major beneficiary of the Ex-Im bank thru his aviation committee and does not like it.

To take on McConnell , on the Senate floor, clearly and loudly, as a liar , is close to being "censured" by the Senate. We will see.

If McConnell was in fact lying why would Cruz be censored?

In many ways McConnell is more like his D counterpart Harry Reid each and every day.....

The historical "decorum" of the Senate does not allow for coarse , accusatory , language unlike the House. I think this might have something to do with Boeing going to Chicago and Charleston (Dreamliner) versus Texas. Anybody know?

Just checked it out quickly. Boeing has a contract to service both Air Force One 747s. They closed down Witchita , KS (747 Service Center) to move the operation to San Antonio , Texas. September 2012.

The Dreamliner Texas work was opposed by Obama because Texas and Charleston are both Right to Work states. Apparently Charleston won.

Further when Boeing was thinking of moving their corporate headquarters to Dallas-Fort Worth versus Chicago (from Washington state) the Boeing President's wife did not think that Texas offered much cultural enlightenment for upper management staff. They went to Chicago.

I listened to his entire speech. It seems he knew what he was talking about and laid out the facts as he saw them. Time will tell if he is right about the lying accusation. As for McConnell acting like Reid. I think he is spot on. I especially liked his remarks on who was in charge of the senate. Not the people but the lobbyist.

Screw McConnell. He has proven to be in Obama's camp as far as I'm concerned. What a disappointment he is turning out to be.

Cruz is worried, as Trump is winning his supporters over. He thus feels the need to get more dramatic. Like Crazy Rand Paul, he once really thought he had a chance to be President and sees it slipping away. There are only so many angry nutcase GOP votes to go around, and Trump is absorbing them. Those candidates from whom Trump is doing so will try to get more flamboyant in response.

Could be, but it also could be that Trump has shown being honest and calling a spade a spade is getting real traction with the American voter so other politicians might start following suit. We might be gearing up for a general election of Trump vs. Sanders, the extreme capitalist vs the devout socialist. Democrats better start queuing up some more candidates, the wicked witch is all but done.
