Default Tri- Tronics G3 Transmitter not working

Has anyone had their Tri- Tronics G3 transmitter stop working on lower levels and only work on 6? The unit is fully charged and I've put the collar on myself and it only works on a 6, not even the tone works unless its on a 6. Any advice or help would greatly be appreciated.

Try removing the strap from receiver and unscrew the transmitter to seperate and clean up the contact points .

Had mine go bad one year ago.. would work (intermittently) on 4,5 and 6. Collar clinic won't fix them, neither will TT. TT (Garmin) offered me one of the few remaining pro 500 transmitters they had left for $175 or so. Took the deal as I have four g3 collars and no intention of spending $1000 to upgrade

Thanks for posting this! I've been questioning whether my collar has been working correctly. A little playing around because of this post has helped me to discover I am having this exact issue! Contacting Garmin in the morning.

I speaking with customer support it sounds like mine may be a battery issue created from not regularly placing transmitter on charger. Ordered new battery, will see if this fixes problem.
