Default Any Advice on a new Benelli Super Eagle II 12 Ga.?

I want to buy a new auto shotgun for ducks and geese and am considering a new Benelli Super Eagle II 12 ga. with a 26" barrel. Any pros or cons would be helpful or other recommendations.

Great gun. They tend to pattern a little tighter due to the back boring and crio.
A lot of people are afraid of heights. Not me, I'm afraid of widths.

The Gold doesn't have the "Hump" My Browning 500G has it. The Gold 12 or 20 ga. has a $100 rebate till Nov 30. You might want to look at it before you buy.

Had one for bout two seasons now. Absolutely love the gun. Shoot a wad wizard choke with great results.

    Thumbs up

Best gun out there for waterfowl hunting. I have a Browning Gold that I used to use but now its only a deer gun. Reason being is the browning just couldnt handle the conditions waterfowling dishes out. I hunt over 60 days a year and the SBE II never misses a beat. My browning would malfunction when it was too cold and would rust in a heart beat around salt water. My SBE II has not malfunctioned in 2 seasons and has not shown any rust even after being coated with sea spray. You can go wrong with the SBE II!

Are you shooting the 26 or 28 inch? Also do you have any preference on loads for ducks or geese? Sounds like you get in a fair amount of shooting!

I will definitely check it out. Have you had yours out in the field extensively and under the usual fowl weather of duck season? Do you like the 26" barrel?

Have only been skeet shooting with it, just bought it this summer. Getting ready to take it duck hunting on the 19th. I dont shoot anything other than a 26 inch barrel its lighter and faster.
