    Default ALFA 209 info

Iíve read the reviews, and heard of the issues Iíve never bought one.

However a friend of mine gave me an ALFA 209 starter pistol. It doesnít work properly, but he said if I can get it to work I can keep it. It will fire occasionally but then it jams? Freezes? Where I canít pull the trigger, the cylinder doesnít rotate and the hammer doesnít move. Then some messing with the cylinder and manually rotating it either clockwise or counter clockwise I can get another shot out of it.

Wondering if anybody might have a schematic? Pictures? Or even a video of dissembly/assembly?

Iím going to tear it down regardless and clean it up and lubricate it, but before I do I was hoping for some literature or info so Iím not going in blind.

I figure if I can get it operating at least Iíll have a spare if my gunX ever breaks.

    Thanks,
    Newf

I had the same issue, sent it in to them and they fixed it.

Funny, I had a Taurus Revolver with a very similar problem, turns out there was a small burr on the cylinder that would catch on occasion. Good luck on your repair!

My alpha also was jamming. I took it to a gun supply store & they gave it a very good cleaning. It worked perfectly for about 6 months & needs cleaning again. I should have cleaned more often.
