Red face What training videos should my dog get me for Christmas?

I am thinking about adding a puppy soon. Hypothetical budget of $450.

I am thinking I should have Bill Hillmann's Training a Retriever Puppy REVISED edition (I already have original, and the The Fetch Command).

I am also thinking Fundamentals Pt 1 (Land) and Fundamentals Pt 2 (Water) are must-haves.

Or maybe "The Art and Science of Raising a Puppy" would be more valuable than one of the above?

I think the last training video I bought was Dennis Voigt's 25 Essential Retriever Drills.

What are everyone's thoughts about the must-have training videos for starting a baby puppy that have come out in the past 5 or so years?

If you can find them get the 6 2hr tapes from the Kappes-Curtis Retriever Training Seminar.
Try contacting Wayne Anderson or Hennepin Retriever Club.

I'd spend that $450 on day training with a pro rather than videos.

Wayne and Breck - thanks for trying to answer my question. I'm interested in discussion of good training videos, particularly newer ones.

Randy and Tobias - the question is about the buying the best training videos. I am not seeking advice about how to get started training a dog.

I guess I would (from a personal level) rather spend money with a pro in a 1-2-1 situation with my (probably transition or advanced level) dog, than on videos on how to raise a puppy.

Save yourself some money and buy "Mertens "Sound Beginnings".
Also, finding an experienced training group or a Pro that you could day train with is great advice.
