Default Prayers to Darren Galloway and Hank!!!!

Just saw a post on FB - retriever field trialers

Darren Galloway was involved in a vehicle accident on his way to the Canadian National and it appears Hank was injured, although to what extent I don't know. (the post was a screen shot of a phone and didn't show much info other than what I am posting here.... It looks like a phone number was posted there to set up a donation fund for Darren and Hank 612-624-2256 for those able to help them out.

The accident was in the Marquette, MI area. Daren and George (his other dog) were fine but Hank was hurt in the crash. Hank has been under observation / treatment with an area vet and they are heading to the University of MN for further treatment.

Thanks guys. Hank has been unable to sit or stand, he has limited motion in 3 legs now and still very little in his right front. Believe an injury to the spinal cord on the right side of his neck. We are currently at the University of Minnesota for an MRI after a stay at Dr Tim's in Marquette Michigan, Dr Tim took great care of Hank but wanted further testing done. MRI probably wont happen until tomorrow I'll update as I get more information.

Thanks for all the generosity kindness and prayers everyone has sent for Hank.

The "right decision"to a retriever is generally that decision which feels good or is the most convenient. So its the trainers job to teach the dog that what feels good is that which pleases the trainer.

Darren. I saw your post in the insurance thread but I had no idea that this was so recent.

I’m sorry. I know how it feels to have an accident and a hurt dog as a result.

I’ll say a prayer and I send good wishes for Hank’s full recovery.

Scary-hope everything works out -when you get a chance let us know details if possible like were they in a dog box -damage to vehicle and /or box -maybe we can learn something-I always worry on the road. Sounds like you landed in a good place just don’t come home with a sled.
