This story means more to me than to most.

Ted, thank you for sharing it. It has become an annual tradition for me to forward this to a group of friends and family.

Every year, the first time I read it, my eyes tear up and it hits me.

This year, a good friend mailed me this story, in book form, which he ordered as his Christmas card. He was motivated to find this story, as a result of your sharing this on RTF.

    Thanks Ted.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

It still amazes me, after as many years that I've read this story when you post it, that it still gets to me about halfway into the story.

Thank you for continuing to share.

    Merry Christmas to all.

What a great read with my morning coffee! We are leaving for the airport shortly to pick up our son who is returning home on leave from the Air Force and I did not think I could be happier but this story was icing on the cake - Thank you!
