Default More winning (Don't tell Franco)

    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/26/gdp-...irst-read.html

From noted Trump-loving, right wing cnbc:

First-quarter GDP expanded by 3.2%, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said Friday in its initial read of the economy for that period. Economists polled by Dow Jones expected growth of 2.5%. It was the first time since 2015 that first-quarter GDP topped 3%.

“The upside beat was helped by net trade (exports jumped while imports contracted sharply) and inventories which combined contributed almost 170 bps of the rise,” wrote Peter Boockvar, chief investment officer at Bleakley Advisory Group. “Personal spending though, the biggest component was up just 1.2%, two tenths more than expected as an increase in spending on services and nondurable goods offset a decline in spending on durable goods.”

Exports rose 3.7% in the first quarter, while imports decreased by 3.7%. Economic growth also got a lift from strong investments in intellectual property products. Those investments expanded by 8.6%.

Disposable personal income increased by 3%, while prices increased by 1.3% when excluding food and energy. Overall prices climbed by 0.8% in the first quarter.

President Trumps wins go on and on! Yet the Socialist Democrat Liberals continue on the witch hunt, as that is all they have to offer!

Which has now turned into a case of 'self-destruction'....

You people are desperate for any slight bump in good News.

3.2% for the Quarter is good but we have had better from 2009 through 2016.

What you failed to mention is that in the last month of the 1st Quarter. the deficit was the highest in U S history with over 234billion added to the National Debt. And, adding over 2TRILLION to the nat'l Debt since taking office!

Trump also promised 5% and 6% GDP growth during the campaign and we know that ain't happening.

“We're bringing it (the GDP) from 1 percent up to 4 percent. And I actually think we can go higher than 4 percent. I think you can go to 5 percent or 6 percent.” Trump

BTW, Trump's approval rating is low at 42% with a 55% disapproval rating.

This entire impeachment process is just going to be all about knocking down the most offensively stupid arguments from Trump supporters.

    The Polls were correct!

They had Clinton up by 2%-3% and that is exactly what she won the popular vote by.

How about some more good News?

The Deficit is growing far faster than predicted.

Take that and 50 cents and you can get a cup of coffee...! If popular vote did count, we would have eliminated the millions of illegal votes that were gathered....

How about some more good News?

The Deficit is growing far faster than predicted. CONGRESS controls the spend and they have not taken any of Presidents Trumps budget proposals forward! You have not and will not see me taking about how great Congress has done, the Democrats coupled with a few RINOS has damaged our country more than I thought anyone could, excluding Obama, of course!

What on wants and one gets is never the same! AGAIN, Franky, what is your source on this? My wife's family own a farm in Kansas, and they clearly understand that some short-term pain, for long-term gain... is necessary to fix the Trade imbalances from the past!

    Millions of illegal voters?

There is zero evidence of this and just one of the many conspiracy theories peddled by Trump. Most sensible people have learned to not believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

You are the epitome of the Trump cult!

    Trump's budget proposal?

Here it is. It calls for TRILLION plus deficits annually over the next ten years and based Fed income off of a 5% and 4% growth to GDP annually!

His budget included increased military spending as well as cuts to SS, environmental protection and other programs like job training.

Presidents are like quarterbacks. Too much credit for a win and too much blame for a loss.

The heartland isn't experiencing much winning these days. Much of that is out of the president's hands, but the trade war with China has been devastating. If we don't get back the soy bean business after this is all said and done, it's going to be a long row to hoe. More family farms that shut down and the growth of Monsanto and Cargill backed agribusinesses/corporate farms.
