I heard this explanation this morning..A little different way of looking at things. https://www.cnbc.com/video/2019/05/2...ina-trade.html
" Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, (red) wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" Unknown

Well, Mardi Gras beads are made in China and may rise 25% for 2020 due to Tariffs not being lifted by then.

Trump could offer subsidies to companies willing to make Mardi Gras beads on idle farmland since farmers will be cutting back production. Should be some prime locations popping up on the Farms for Sale websites.

Then, Trump could declare a mandatory Mardi Gras season in all major metro areas to boost bead production!

He could campaign on, "Make Bead Production Great Again" and his cult will love him even more

JT's Stockroom sells beads, many are made in the USA. You could email them your idea, maybe they could make some from the extra potatoes and carrots sitting around. The slogan could be "make @$$ great again"....

    • President Donald Trump on Friday claimed a victory of sorts in an ongoing trade war with China, asserting that his latest round of import tariffs on Chinese goods will force China to pay ”$100 billion” to the U.S. Treasury.
    • In fact, the burden of higher tariffs will fall on buyers of Chinese made products and, ultimately, American consumers.
    • That could end up costing every American household about $800, according to estimates from Oxford Economics.

We noticed that you couldn't refute any of the points in the article, but chose to attack the source (followed by quoting cnbc, LOL!).

Matt....you should know that ANY source you use, Franky will criticize! Then he uses a goofy liberal website like CNBC to "Support" his criticism...how sick is that! Or even funnier, sometimes he will use the top Liberal garbage website.... “Fact Checker”! Now that’s an Oxymoron…

Franky, nothing new here from you............I can find sources who are critical of your sources, but why would I waste my time on that! I seem to recall you being VERY critical of these sources when you claimed to be a Libertarian....what happened to that!

Bottom line is that Trump's trade war is all tactics with zero strategy! It started with ceding the TPP and getting nothing in return.
China is not affected??? Shows how stupid you are or simply a liar. If it does not "affect them", then WHY even negociate?? 2nd, if one only needs to set "the price it wants, then do you believe one MUST BUY?? Tell me what "we must buy from China???
